Fond Farewell
I'm leaving San Francisco today. I suspected I'd like it. That turns out to be an understatement.
The sad thing about finding something you connect with far from home is that you never have enough time to explore it as much as you'd like. Time is limited, and so you take in as much as you can before you go.
The happy thing, I suppose, is that you did.
So here's a little musical farewell message to the city from me.
I'll have photos and stories for everyone when I get back--no time right now before I ride off into the sunset. Or fly off into the sunrise, as it were.

I always hate the comedown after I travel. Glad you had a great trip.

It is always tough to leave, especially when you have no idea when or if you will be back. Glad to hear you enjoye it and had some time to explore.

Hiromi, Art: Thanks for the well wishes.
Circe: It is an incredible city. Everyone always told me it'd be perfect for me and for some reason I never listened. Boy, were they right.
Karl Elvis: Yes, but, wasn't it nice of them to send out a band for me and all? You gotta love a city who arranges for you to be serenaded by an entire marching band right under your window.

I did that actually. I figured SOMEONE should serenade you!
The city gets no credit at all.
Ok maybe a LITTLE.

Karl Elvis: Well then, if it WAS you behind it all, you made my stay all the more magic. It felt like my own personal Disneyland when that band showed up. Which, I suppose, would make you my own personal Imagineer.
So did you also arrange for the trumpet guy who played the themes from "The Godfather" and "Love Story" under my window over and over and OVER and OVER again from 10 pm to midnight every single night? Because if so, you should arrange to have him shot.

I'll do better. I'll hunt him down and kill him.
Slowly.

For me? (bats eyelids)
Poor guy. If you've got your sights on him, he doesn't have a fighting chance.
Bring me his head and I'll give you a token of my favor.

If i bring you a bushel of heads do i get a peck of favor?

Karl Elvis: My, my, aren't you an overachiever? The answer is yes, you do, but the favor is far better if it's the one specific head I want.
"Have fun storming the castle."
