Need your help finding some words, please...
Hey you brilliant, tech-savvy, early-adopter people (and yes, I DO mean you)*:
What are some less cliched terms that can be used besides "cutting edge" or "bleeding edge?" Everyone uses these two--surely there are some other alternatives that are more "cutting edge" than they are?
Any and all suggestions would be MOST appreciated right now, as I need it for something I'm writing on a short deadline.
Thanks!
*Update: I realize now by using this opening line, it may appear like I'm looking for a tech-based word, but I'm actually not writing about technology; I'm writing, in a general sense, about investment. I'm looking for a term for "cutting-edge" that would raise the interest of entrepreneur/venture capitalist types. See my note in the comments for specifics.

How about Vanguard? Definition: The foremost or leading position in a trend or movement.

the catchword of the day, I understand, is emergent. You know, like your new technology was some kind of foetus or something.

Buck! How nice to see you. It's been so long.
Emergent is a good one. Though, I'm looking something that's not so much attached to technology as something that would appeal to entrepreneurs or venture capitalists. Sort of like "this is a new, cutting-edge new idea that will carry business forward into the next century." (That's not *really* what I'm writing about, but that's the sense of it.) I'm not sure "emergent" will work in that context. But it IS the new buzzword for technology, so I'm going to save that in my mental library for when it is needed.
